Actual weight and volumetric weight

For some routes, after submitting the waybill, the actual weight and volumetric weight of the package will be generated. The route will charge the freight based on the greater of the two.

What is actual weight?

That is, the weight of the goods themselves plus the wrapping weight of the packaging materials used for the goods.

What is volumetric weight?

Volumetric weight is a method used in the transportation industry to calculate the weight of light and bulky goods. That is, when the volume of a package is relatively large but the actual weight is small, the volumetric weight charging method will be adopted.

How to calculate volumetric weight?

The volumetric weight (KG) = length (CM) × width (CM) × height (CM) of the package /5000 (or 6000,7000,8000, depending on the standards of the third-party logistics provider).

Is the volume weight of my package calculated?

If you want to know whether your package is calculated by volumetric weight before submitting it, please check through the freight estimate

(Note: The estimated shipping cost, calculated chargeable weight and fee are for reference only. The actual amount will be subject to the packaging at the warehouse after submission.)
